چکیده

Thirteen species of Friesodielsia Steenis (Annonaceae) and 11 representatives related genera were included in molecular phylogenetic analyses using up to six plastid DNA regions (psbA-trnH, trnL-trnF intergenic spacers; trnL intron; matK, ndhF, rbcL exons). The results support the recognition a new species, F. lalisae Damth., Baka & Chaowasku from Narathiwat, S Thailand, as belonging one two major clades Friesodielsia. members this clade show outer petals that separate at anthesis have concave basal portion, while other exhibit early during developmental stages flat base. is described illustrated. It most morphologically similar argentea (J. Sinclair) glauca (Hook. f. Thomson) but differs by having dissimilar sepal shape, higher proportion inner petal length longer petals. additionally former different leaf base latter denser indumentum on young twigs shorter flowering pedicels. province which endemic, seems be underexplored areas Thailand evidenced number based recent material. conservation status provisionally assessed Critically Endangered. Phylogenetic analyses and morphological characteristics support the description of a second species of Tridimeris (Annonaceae)

Based on phylogenetic and morphological evidence, Tridimeris chiapensis Escobar-Castellanos & Ortiz-Rodr., sp. n. (Annonaceae), a new species from the karst forest of southern Mexico, is described and illustrated. The new species differs from Tridimeris hahniana, the only described species in the genus, in that the latter has flowers with sepals densely tomentose outside, one (rarely two) carpe...

A morphological and molecular description of a new Teleopsis species (Diptera: Diopsidae) from Thailand

A new species of Teleopsis (Diptera, Diopsidae) from Chiang Mai, Thailand is described and illustrated. Teleopsis thaii Földvári & Carr is shown to be a member of a species group, termed the dalmanni species group, along with three previously described species. Presented here are a morphological description of T. thaii and an allometric comparison of the species with other members of the Teleop...

Morphological and Molecular Phylogenetic Data Reveal a New Species of Primula (Primulaceae) from Hunan, China

A new species of Primulaceae, Primula undulifolia, is described from the hilly area of Hunan province in south-central China. Its morphology and distributional range suggest that it is allied to P. kwangtungensis, both adapted to subtropical climate, having contiguous distribution and similar habitat, growing on shady and moist cliffs. Petioles, scapes and pedicels of them are densely covered w...

Phylogenetic Reconstruction, Morphological Diversification and Generic Delimitation of Disepalum (Annonaceae)

Taxonomic delimitation of Disepalum (Annonaceae) is contentious, with some researchers favoring a narrow circumscription following segregation of the genus Enicosanthellum. We reconstruct the phylogeny of Disepalum and related taxa based on four chloroplast and two nuclear DNA regions as a framework for clarifying taxonomic delimitation and assessing evolutionary transitions in key morphologica...
